I’m Terri. I am the author here at terrimbraun.com.
One of my biggest hopes is for this blog to bring you many laughs, a few shockers, the odd tear and maybe even some scares! Through my writing I would like to take you away from the normal and bring you into my world!
I have had many experiences in my life both good and bad and would love to help you in any way I can! I intend for this blog to be a place where you can go to get away from the daily grind.
Whether it is a good laugh to help you feel better, some serious advice about a situation I have personally been in and survived, a heartwarming scene, or a scare your pants off short story.
I post new content every Tuesday and Thursday.
Writing is my favourite thing to do. I have been writing poems and short stories for as long as I can remember. When I was young, it was the only thing that kept me from going crazy.
I was the young mother of a child with a disability who had nothing even remotely close to a social life. For a long time, it was just my son, my schooling, and my pad of paper. It kept me grounded and focused on what I was working towards and reminded me of where I wanted to go.
That is still accurate to this day. It helps me sort through the things that get all jumbled inside and are otherwise forgotten. It lets me explore myself in a way that there will be no judgment or negative feedback. The paper can’t talk back to me or be discouraging.
It doesn’t judge me for what I put down. I can be free to write anything I think and feel. When I write, I can go anywhere and do anything I want. It helps unload the clutter and make way for all the positive things in life.
I live in Stratford Ontario with my husband, two kids, two cats, and two turtles.
My mother tells me I’ve been watching Jason and Freddie since I was 5 and I am now completely desensitized and love anything horror.
I love to bake including but not limited to cookies, banana bread, and parfaits. Especially if I get to eat it all before the kids and hubby get home.
I enjoy scrapbooking, or a least I like the thought of scrapbooking because if I am honest, there is no way I have time for that!
I love playing the occasional first person shooter game. I was heartbroken when they shut down one of my best friends, MAG, and refused to play anything on the PS4 for almost two years. The reason I occasionally play is because I get quickly sucked into a severe red dot addiction.
You can reach me anytime day or night at firstname.lastname@example.org. Feel free to reach out with comments, tips or advice, your opinions, and anything else you care to share.
