So You Think You Know

Hello, everyone! I apologize for the late post this week. Life got a little overwhelming. The following poem, So You Think You Know, was inspired by a prompt I found about something that annoys me. It was the perfect opportunity to vent about a few things that, as a mother,  drive me crazy. Feel free to comment and let me know if these are issues in your home. Enjoy!

How dare you come into my home.know

tracking the dirt and mud behind.

Is it you who cleans the floors just so?

You think if no one will know who will mind.

How dare you come into my home,

leaving your garbage wherever you please.

Is it you who hauls it down to the curb?

You think the magic fairy poofs it out with ease.

How dare you come into my home,

dropping your shit right inside the door.

Is it you who cleans up the bags and shoes?

You think if no one will trip why do the chore.

How dare you come into my home,

judging me for the mess on the table.

Is it you who puts my family above all?know

You think if a house is clean the kids are stable.

How dare you come into my home,

bringing along your negativity and doubt.

Is it you who juggles two kids, a job, and school?

You think you know what life is all about.

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your undoubtedly busy day to read my new poem! If you enjoyed this one, I know you will enjoy The Day I Chose to Stop Caring What You Think.

About terrimbraun

Hey there! I'm Terri. One of my biggest hopes is for this blog to bring you many laughs, a few shockers, the odd tear and maybe even some scares! Through my writing, I would like to take you away from the normal and bring you into my world! I love to bake. Especially if I get to eat it all before the kids and hubby get home. I enjoy scrapbooking, or a least I like the thought of scrapbooking because if I am honest, there is no way I have time for that! I love playing the occasional first person shooter game. The reason I only play occasionally is because I get quickly sucked into a severe red dot addiction.
