Funny Moment!

I would like to tell you about a funny moment that happened in my home recently.

In our house, one of our favourite games to play doesn’t have a proper name. There aren’t really any rules and it’s pretty laid back. Somebody starts by saying the first line of a story. Then we take turns adding onto it. It can be anything from one line to a whole scene depending on the person. We go around the circle until the story is complete.

Recently while my husband and son were out, my daughter and I were playing. I was trying to kill time without electronics before bed and she was all over me for attention.  Usually, when it is her and I playing, the stories end up being very similar to her favourite Disney movies, no matter how hard I try to make them original.

My absolute favourite thing about playing this game with her is the facial expressions she makes. She is so animated when she speaks its fascinating to watch, so much so that I find myself feeling guilty that I am the only one who gets to see her in this way.

So there we were, me lying on my back on the couch and her sitting on top of me, of course.   We finish the first story and I find it to be strikingly similar to snow white. I am still in awe of her facial expressions and ask her if I can record the next round. She happily agrees and I grab my phone to start recording.

We spent a few minutes going back and forth and it looks something like this…

All of a sudden, she stops, looks right at me, and reminds me of the time a few minutes ago when I farted. Right there in the middle of the story she suddenly decides to start talking about when I farted. I quickly shut off the camera as I started to laugh hysterically. I mean I laughed so hard I ended up crying.

Check it out for yourself…

We laughed so long and so hard that before we knew it, it was bedtime.  It wasn’t the fact that it was slightly embarrassing as I intended to post it on social media. It was the fact that she has apparently so rarely heard me fart that she was utterly amazed by the fact that I do. Or maybe it was just the fact that I was tired after a long day at work and actually found it way funnier than I should have. Who knows?

And so, the story was left open to be picked up another day, and my cheeks were super sore but in a good way.

Needless to say, we both went to bed with huge grins on our faces
